Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and texts, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify insurance information and collect payments
- Maintain electronic health records systems
- Coordinate patient referrals, obtain insurance authorizations
- Manage patient registration, check-in, and check-out processes
- Manage medical records audits
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
Experience
- Prior medical reception experience preferred but not required
- Proficiency in using office equipment, computers and phone systems
- Knowledge of medical scheduling practices, HIPAA
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Familiarity with ophthalmology terminology and receptionist duties in a medical clinic
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
