Job Description: Product Sales Representative

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential customers; developing new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotes for current and new customers.

• Accomplishes sales department and organization goals by accepting ownership for customer account management and communicates with leadership and management issues, challenges and opportunities related to product sales

• Work with management and leadership to help ensure product is being sold at target margins, assist in inventory allocation meetings and engage in sales team meetings that examine ways to maximize potential profit per unit among bulk purchasing customers and/or e-commerce platforms for all product being sold

• Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential bulk purchasing customers

• Accurately prepare quotes and enter sales orders

• Proactively engage management and leadership in ways to ensure sales orders are entered efficiently and assist in ensuring bulk purchasing customers are paying timely, in addition to effectively processing and monitoring open sales orders within the sale’s rep customer base to ensure product is paid for and shipped to the customer in a timely manner.

• Negotiate all orders in best interest of company goal, market appropriate pricing and target margins. Refer to tools created and provided by Diamond Assets leadership team to ensure customer retention, customer acquisition and the sale of Diamond Assets product are maximum profit potential per unit.

• Keeps management informed of any issues involving your bulk purchasing customer base, by submitting work plans and ideas to the product sales manager as requested, actively participate and prepare in PriceBook meetings and assist in the development of monthly goal sales strategy development.

• Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, etc. and notify management of changes.

• Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing and recommending solutions; and actively seek new ways to position and sell Diamond Assets products.

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; and establishing personal networks.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as necessary with a positive and engaging “Team First” attitude.

• All other duties as assigned.
