Estimator

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plumbing and utility estimating, some construction estimating and management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget, while also maintaining high standards of quality.

Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction( plumbing & utility) projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
• Utilize software tools to create accurate bids and proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to understand project requirements and constraints.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
• Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.
• Provide support during the bidding process by answering questions from clients and stakeholders regarding estimates.

Requirements

• Proven experience in plumbing & utility construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
• Proficiency in estimating software is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successfully managing contracts.
• Familiarity with cost control methods and practices within the construction industry.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to various stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
