Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee our concrete sawing operations. This role involves managing teams across various locations, ensuring seamless dispatching, operational efficiency, and exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, logistics, and team leadership within the construction or concrete industry, and will report to Diamond’s Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead and mentor teams of field technicians, ensuring they are well-trained and equipped to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
- Dispatch Coordination: Oversee daily dispatch operations, scheduling personnel and equipment for various job sites while optimizing routes and minimizing downtime.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality of service.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies, fostering a culture of safety among the workforce. This may include, but is not limited to DOT compliance, respiratory protection compliance, and driver qualifications.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between field operations and upper management, providing regular updates on project status, personnel needs, and resource allocation.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Performance Metrics: Analyze operational data to assess team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management, logistics, or business administration preferably in the construction or concrete industry.
- Strong leadership and team building and management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in logistics and dispatching processes within ERP systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with operations management software.
