We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Superintendent specializing in ground-up commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the construction process on-site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial construction, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams and subcontractors effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Lead and manage all on-site activities for ground-up commercial construction projects, including office buildings, retail centers, industrial facilities, and more.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring all construction activities are completed on time. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure work progresses as planned.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and direct the work of subcontractors and construction crews, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely and according to project specifications.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being done according to the project plans, specifications, and local building codes. Address any issues or discrepancies as they arise.
- Safety Management: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and construction site safety regulations. Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports. Track any changes to project scope or schedule and communicate these changes to the project manager and client.
- Budget Management: Monitor material usage, labor costs, and project expenses, ensuring the project stays within budget. Notify the project manager of any issues that may affect the project’s financial performance.
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all on-site communication with subcontractors, suppliers, project managers, and clients. Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and any issues that arise.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve construction issues, delays, or potential risks to maintain the project’s timeline and budget.
- Inspection and Compliance: Ensure all inspections are completed on time and that the project meets all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Project Completion: Ensure that the project is completed to the highest quality standards and that final inspections and punch lists are addressed promptly.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in ground-up commercial construction projects.
- Education: High school diploma required; a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, materials, and techniques for commercial buildings.
- Leadership: Proven experience managing teams of subcontractors and construction personnel.
- Project Management: Experience with scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and the ability to track project progress.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively manage teams and interact with clients and stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Ability to resolve issues on-site quickly and effectively to minimize project delays.
- Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour certification is required, with additional certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and Project Management being a plus.
