What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk- CB position at Diamond Ridge Construction?
Seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our growing Hillside, IL team! Candidates must have previous QuickBooks experience. The ideal candidate will have a construction or engineering background. This role is 100% on site and does not offer hybrid opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand project financials and provide insights into potential billing or collection challenges.
- Responsible for the processing, reviewing, tracking and maintenance of all payment applications from subcontractors.
- Assist project managers with correctly tracking change orders for clients and subcontractors.
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database.
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies. Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas.
Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma.
- Previous experience in an accounting role.
- Work history working in a construction or engineering position.
- Shown experience utilizing QuickBooks.
