What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Accounting Assistant - CB position at Diamond Ridge Construction?
Currently seeking a Project Accounting Assistant for our growing Cicero, IL office! Candidates must have previous experience working for a general contractor. Previous working experience in the public sector is highly desired. This role is 100% in office and does not offer any hybrid opportunities.
All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US and will not require current or future sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers to understand project financials and provide insights into potential billing or collection challenges.
- Responsible for the processing, reviewing, tracking and maintenance of all payment applications from subcontractors.
- Assist project managers with correctly tracking change orders for clients and subcontractors.
- Communicate with clients to ensure payment applications are approved and provide any necessary follow-up paperwork. Answer any questions clients may have regarding billings.
- Communicate with title companies to ensure all proper paperwork has been provided for funding.
- Manage billing and collections processes for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Contribute to the overall improvement of project accounting procedures and systems.
- Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies, errors, or issues related to project accounting.
Requirements:
- 5 Years experience in General Contractor billings.
- Commercial/Contractor Construction experience required.
- Previous experience working with AIA G702/703 forms.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrates the ability to be a team player and function in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Salary : $65,000
