Essential Functions:
- Oversee equipment operations for all athletic teams. Coordinating the distribution and collection of all equipment and soft goods for each program in the athletics department. Keep updated accurate records of all inventoried equipment and soft goods and manage uniform cycles. Work with coaches and administrative staff to determine specific program needs. Implement and oversee laundry systems for teams.
- Responsible for set-up and breakdown of select facilities for competition (Baseball, Basketball, Field Hockey, Football, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball). Collaborate with Athletic Communications, Facilities, Game Managers, and Grounds departments to ensure facilities and equipment are safe, secure, and ready for competition play. Provide field maintenance, field lining, and executed manual labor projects as needed.
- Oversee and manage casual equipment/facilities staff and student equipment/facilities work force. Provide training and supervision for tasks related to facilities maintenance, preparation, staffing, and laundry.
- Communicate with vendors concerning the purchase of equipment for athletic programs and maintenance equipment for our athletic facilities. Perform frequent checks on department equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Work with coaches to find efficiencies in purchasing.
- Manage purchasing and receiving systems. Ensure Athletic Department mail is received safely and securely. Work with coaches on creating efficient and effective systems for receiving.
Required:
High school diploma or GED
First Aid, CPR
Work Experience:
1-3 years
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree – Sport Management
