POSITION SUMMARY:
- Oversee and manage various campus operations, ensuring an efficient, safe, and student-centered learning environment
- Requires strong organizational, supervisory, and leadership skills to support school-wide activities, discipline, attendance, and event planning
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field
- Texas Principal Certification
Experience:
- Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience
- Minimum of three years of successful secondary Assistant Principal experience
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale events or programs (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple programs and initiatives
- Knowledge of school operations, student discipline, and safety procedures
- Experience with event planning and execution
- Proficiency in technology and data analysis
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Departmental Oversight and Supervision:
- Supervise Maintenance & Operations, Attendance, Library, Student Travel, Administrative Event Coverage, Student Discipline, Safety and Security, Facilities, and Grounds
- Manage campus technology, enrollment processes, and approval of foreign exchange students
- Oversee student attendance policies and procedures
- Supervise campus discipline and coordinate the discipline appeals process
Event Planning and Execution:
- Plan and oversee major school events
- Supervise event execution to ensure smooth operations and student engagement
Program Oversight:
- Manage the privilege system and bell schedules, including Activity and Exam schedules
- Supervise paraprofessional hours and faculty responsibilities
- Oversee student clubs, organizations, and field trip/transportation requests
- Maintain and oversee faculty and student handbooks
- Manage campus calendars and class meetings
- Ensure UIL eligibility and competition participation compliance
New Student and Family Care:
- Oversee and support new student enrollment and family transition processes
- Manage school picture schedules and coordination
Initiative Development:
- Identify and develop new campus initiatives to enhance student experience and engagement
Event Supervision:
- Provide supervision during school events to ensure safety, organization, and student participation
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment
- Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Motion: Frequent walking
- Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move items up to 45 lbs
- Environment: Work inside, may work outside; regular exposure to noise
- Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours
