Summary/Objective:
Execute basic purchasing activities while supporting the purchasing team’s daily objectives. This is an entry level purchasing position offering an excellent opportunity for individual career development in materials management or related field.
Essential Functions:

- Basic cycle counts of raw material and finished goods.
- Assist in the execution of physical inventory activities and variance review.
- Execute purchase orders to support manufacturing and distribution demand.
- Evaluate sales forecast data to determine material requirements.
- Provide daily communication regarding material arrivals and stock levels.
- Coordinate and communicate material requirement forecast data to the supply base.
- Assist the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager in daily clerical activities.
- Track key performance metrics with supply base
- Conduct supplier reviews
- Organize RFQs, parts creation, and supplier set up activities
- SKU Maintenance

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office setting within a manufacturing environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as telephones, computers, printers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard. The employee may be required to lift/move up to 35 pounds on occasion.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Due to the nature and demands of this role, flexibility is required to work outside normal business hours.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in an office setting or similar environment
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
