Job Title: Safety Manager
Impact:
As a Safety Manager at Didion, you will ensure that all our work locations operate with a safety-first mindset. You will achieve this by implementing, maintaining, and promoting Didion’s company safety protocols/policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and support training sessions, accident investigations, safety walks, and routine safety inspections.
- Prevent accidents and ensure the overall well-being of all employees.
- Spend significant time in the plant delivering training, assessing potential hazards, and driving continuous improvement in support of our safety vision.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferred fields include Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, or Industrial Safety Management.
- Certification: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation or plans to become a CSP desired.
- Experience:
- 3 years in chemical process and/or biofuels industries, including PSM experience.
- 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, and PSM standards.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish effective professional relationships with all team members.
- Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Leadership: Experience in motivating and developing a team through constant feedback.
