Digestive Health Specialists, P.A., a leading gastroenterology group based in Winston Salem, is currently recruiting for a full-time Patient Access Specialist - Scheduler to join our team. We are a well-established and growing practice; founded originally in 1979 and have grown to serve our patients now in 5 locations. The Patient Access Specialist - Scheduler is responsible for promoting best practices, standards, and to promote high quality delivery of services to our patients and ensures all callers receive assistance as quickly and efficiently as possible, always being treated with the highest level of respect.
Must have knowledge of healthcare operations and medical terminology. Strong attention to detail and highly effective communication and organizational skills. Candidate must be able to demonstrate a solid work history.
Multitasking. Must have the ability to assist multiple patients at the same time, ability to identify next patient in line and identify if they are in the check-in process or just arriving to the office. Must be able to assist any patient that presents to your window, even if your team member started the check-in process with that patient. Teamwork is required!
Must be flexible to fulfill other team member duties across other locations as needed.
EPIC experience and previous medical office/scheduling experience preferred.
