What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Support Supervisor position at DIGITAL MONITORING PRODUCTS?
The Technical Support Supervisor provides general supervision and product/service guidance to the DMP Level I, II and III Support Technicians.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of computer hardware/software and digital data communications.
- Minimum 2 years formal education in basic electronics or equivalent electronic experience.
- 2-4 years' experience in alarm system installation; equivalent experience as Support Tech; or
combination of experience that includes both system installation and Tech Support preferred.
- Ability to learn technical materials quickly, as demonstrated by grades/transcripts/references.
- High degree of accuracy/detail oriented.
Responsibilities:
- Provides day-to-day supervision of the Technical Support Department.
- Provides technical assistance to Technical Support reps with difficult technical problems, with the goal of taking care of the customer fast.
- Is responsible for running weekly reports with technical support numbers, including calls by technician, DND reports, and other reports as needed.
- Knows the status of current escalated issues in the field and facilitates escalation process.
