We are currently seeking a Technical Support Programmer Role . this role is FULLY REMOTE
The Technical Support Programmer will serve as a critical resource within the technical support team by combining advanced programming skills with strong technical troubleshooting expertise. This role will focus on resolving complex issues related to security systems, IT infrastructure, and custom applications while also designing and improving scripts, tools, and automation solutions. As a hybrid role, this position requires strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused mindset, and an ability to code and develop robust software solutions.
In this role you will:
Programming and Development:
- Develop and maintain scripts, tools, and applications using PowerShell, SQL, and Full Web Stack technologies (PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Comfortably implement 3rd-party libraries, utilize GIT for version control, and apply an understanding of MVC frameworks. Familiarity with Angular/React and .Net Framework/C# is a plus.
- Automate and optimize technical support processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Create custom integrations between security systems, IT tools, and customer platforms as needed.
- Perform database queries and updates to troubleshoot, optimize, and support system functionality.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new software or coding initiatives related to system performance.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network-related issues for security systems and IT infrastructure.
- Provide hands-on and remote technical support for both internal teams and external customers.
- Assist with debugging and enhancing scripts and applications, leveraging web stack technologies and version control systems to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Collaborate with senior team members to address escalated cases requiring deeper expertise.
- Maintain accurate logs of support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the team's knowledge base.
Customer Service & Communication:
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical customers.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Provide professional and empathetic support, even in high-pressure situations.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Work closely with the Technical Support Manager and CTO to align programming efforts with technical support goals.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, to identify and resolve recurring issues or inefficiencies.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, programming languages, and security system trends.

Technical Skills:
- Programming: Proficiency in PowerShell, SQL, and Full Web Stack technologies (PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Familiarity with implementing 3rd-party libraries, GIT version control, and frameworks such as MVC, Angular/React, or .Net Framework/C# is a plus.
- Networking: Familiarity with basic network engineering concepts such as IP configuration, firewalls, switches, and VLANs.
- Systems Knowledge: Experience working with security systems, databases, and IT infrastructures.
- Troubleshooting: Strong diagnostic skills for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Development Tools: Experience with development best practices, including version control systems (e.g., GIT) and debugging tools.
Customer Service Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clear, concise, and empathetic customer interactions.
- Ability to handle multiple support cases and maintain a calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure.
Educational Background & Certifications:
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications like CompTIA Network , CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate are a plus.
Experience:
- Required: 2-4 years of experience in a technical support role or similar position involving programming and troubleshooting responsibilities.
- Preferred: Experience in security integration, database management, or automation scripting.
