Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role combines both autonomous and supportive responsibilities to help the People Team execute critical functions related to recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and benefits to help the team continuously enhance the experience for the employees within DI and its holding companies.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS may include but are not limited to:

 

General HR:

  • Manage and enter COBRA notifications in designated third party database
  • Manage benefits enrollment and termination for assigned companies
  • Complete state unemployment documents for separated employees at assigned companies
  • Assist with creating and managing company Wellness program and coordinate annual Wellness activities with outside vendors
  • Assist Human Resources Director with annual Open Enrollment including updating and building the enrollment database, creating internal OE communications, coordinating education sessions, obtaining documents from carriers, and helping employees understand benefit plans
  • Monitor required state reporting and compliance with company payroll provider, including paid Family Leave, paid Sick Leave, etc. and ensure all affected employee profiles are accurate in the designated HRIS
  • Assist HR Director with contributing benefits and general HR content to the monthly DI newsletter
  • Manage and reconcile monthly benefit invoices for assigned companies
  • Organize, manage, and upkeep HR Drive
  • Maintain and monitor company compliance guidelines by preparing appropriate communications and assist with updating Employee Handbook as needed
  • Ensure compliance bulletin boards throughout all company offices are organized and up to date
  • Participate in the development of People Team led events
  • Serves as back-up to the HR Specialist for payroll
  • Builds strong internal and supportive professional relationships with employees while maintaining integrity and appropriate discretion
  • Perform other related General HR duties and special projects as assigned

 

Talent Management

  • Assist with new employee onboarding including facilitating background check process and involvement with tasks related to the onboarding experience (e.g., I-9 collection, desk preparation and welcome items, office tours, etc.)
  • Manage external job boards with schools and organizations to include postings and refresh of postings on a weekly basis, job sponsorship/positioning, etc.
  • Assist with internal monitor content procurement and management for all companies
  • Assist with internal tours as assigned
  • Assist with the summer intern program including hiring and coordinating activities
  • Assist with sourcing and vetting of candidates
  • Monitor HR email Inbox for designated companies
  • With assistance from the Talent Manager and Talent Specialist, provide recruiting updates for monthly DI newsletter
  • Assist with People Team content for all company monthly Huddle meetings
  • Update annual Performance Management How-To Guides as necessary
  • Perform other related Talent Management duties and special projects as assigned

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college in HR related area or relevant business experience required
  • 3 years assisting with company benefits, and interacting with designated business partners
  • Strong literacy and experience using HRIS databases including payroll, benefit enrollment and plan carrier tools
  • Minimum of 1-2 years talent acquisition experience

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • Employee must be able to talk and hear

Due to our onsite Fabrication process, the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.

This is a salary (exempt) position.
