THE ROLE
Dimensions Educational Research Foundation is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Nature Explore program to drive revenue growth, manage relationships, and execute sales strategies for our workshop and design services. This role will support our mission to connect children with nature by booking outdoor classroom design consultations and professional development offerings across the nation.
This role sits on our Sales and Marketing team, in close collaboration with our Landscape Architects and Education Specialists. Although travel is not required for this role, opportunities to attend conferences may arise.
You Have:
- Passion. For the Foundation’s mission, nature, and education.
- Proven track record. Ability to prospect, develop relationships, and execute sales.
- Excellent relationship-building skills. Experience engaging with people that come from diverse backgrounds and that represent a wide range of roles within an organization.
- Sales and negotiation skills. Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Ability to communicate effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including making presentations.
You will:
- Increase and develop business. Prospect new opportunities, foster and support existing relationships, generate high-quality leads, and create urgency in decision-making.
- Customize proposals. Listen and provide solutions through customized proposals that meet the clients' needs.
- Support marketing and engagement strategies. Develop and implement prospecting campaigns that amplify design services and workshop offerings.
- Meet monthly sales goals. When sales goals are hit each month this ensures we are continuing our mission to connect children to nature.
- Collaborate. Work collaboratively with the Landscape Architects and Education Specialists and oversee the sales process from start to finish.
- Understand the client. Develop a thorough understanding of our services, processes, and clientele to be able to effectively adapt communications and offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university preferred, but not required.
- Computer skills preferred include Microsoft Office, Google Suite, HubSpot/CRM, and Notion.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Organization and ability to project manage.
- Prior experience in sales and customer acquisition preferred.
