This position is the backbone of our kitchen and dining room services. It provides a variety of important food preparation, food storage and stock management, dining room set-up, kitchen and dining room cleaning, but most importantly it allows you to connect with your own community. As the Kitchen Technician you will welcome, serve and successfully interact with a wide variety of dining room donors, guests, community members and staff. Specific assignments vary from week to week.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation
At least one (1) year of experience in a kitchen, cooking, food preparation, cleaning, food storage
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Stand for completion of task for shift
Communicate verbally with guests and community members
Move with ease around building and within the community
Stoop, lift and bend infrequently during the day
Essential Functions:
Provide main dish cooking and kitchen cleaning, serving and distribution
Provide cooking vegetable dishes and supportive cleaning
Set Up and clean the dinning room serving line
Provide assistance to any kitchen/dining room tasks based on daily needs
Collaborate with all staff for a smooth operation of the overall program
