Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dudley, under the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, has an opening for a part-time administrative assistant with a 25 hour work week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Typing, printing, and mailing documents such as the weekly bulletin, meeting agendas and minutes, programs, worship aids, etc.
- Assuming the role of receptionist for visitors to the parish office and for answering telephone calls
- Maintaining parish calendar
- Updating parish lists and census information
- Maintaining sacramental records
- Processing mail and distributing parish and diocesan communications
- Ordering office and church supplies as necessary
- Liaison for parish fundraisers and activities
- Performing daily responsibilities in a professional and cordial manner
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Supportive of the mission of the Roman Catholic Church
- Able to successfully complete background checks and training applicable to diocesan requirements
- 2 years of practical experience within an office setting
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Professional oral and written communication skills
- Able to provide accurate information while working under deadlines with minimal supervision
