Job Summary:
The Principal will provide leadership and administration to motivate instructional and support personnel, strive for superior performance and provide the best possible opportunities for student growth and development, both educationally and personally. The Principal provides the Catholic instructional leadership necessary for the school to grow as a faith learning community.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Embrace the mission and vision of St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System and the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay and work in accordance with Catholic Social Teachings and the moral and ethical values of the Catholic Church.
- Attend retreats, seminars and small group discussions where faith is discussed; lead a personal and professional lifestyle that models a believing, practicing Catholic
- Understands, represents, commits to and implements the mission and philosophy of our school
- Fosters collaboration with families, clergy, parish staff, and organizations who entrust their children to our educational programs
- Oversees and approves instructional activities allowing for individual differences among the assigned students in an innovative and creative manner; use student data to drive instruction
- Demonstrate proficiencies in the use of technology including hardware, software and applications.
- Develop and use assessment techniques that are appropriate to assess and create development activities for direct reports
- Integrate instruction across the curriculum whenever possible
- Supervises teachers and staff to ensuring a disciplined and safe learning environment
- Encourage parent and community involvement; obtain information for parents when requested
- Maintain accurate and complete records of teacher and staff performance and assigned development activities
- Provide a secure student centered learning atmosphere, which encourages and challenges student development spiritually, academically, physical, emotionally, and socially
- Participate and support school and system fundraising events; department, school, diocesan and parent meetings and other professional and co-curricular activities as assigned.
- Cooperate with the superintendent in fulfilling professional responsibilities throughout the school
- Read and agree to follow the policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook
- Use resources prudently
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Practicing Catholic required
- Supervisory experience in a school setting required
- Must hold valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction license or have approval from Superintendent
- Master’s degree in Education and/or Administration preferred
- Current administrative license preferred. A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a principal preferred
- A minimum of 5 years’ experiences in curriculum development and assessment preferred
- Teaching experience in a Catholic school preferred
- Active participation in Foundational Catechetical Certification (FCC)
- Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology
