Direct Counsel is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Associate - Mid to Senior Level to join a leading law firm with offices across the West Coast and East Coast. This position is open to candidates based in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco or New York.
Position Overview: The firm’s Business and Tax practice group is looking for an experienced attorney with at least three years of law firm experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and significant business transactions. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, strong transactional skills, and a passion for client service. M&A experience across various industries such as technology, healthcare, food & beverage, and manufacturing is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage M&A transactions and other complex business deals from start to finish.

Provide strategic legal advice on structuring, negotiating, and documenting business transactions.

Work closely with clients to address legal, operational, and business challenges.

Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to M&A and business transactions.

Collaborate with a team of attorneys and clients to ensure the successful execution of transactions.
Qualifications:

Minimum of three years of law firm experience in M&A and business transactions.

Excellent academic credentials and a track record of strong performance.

Exceptional writing and drafting skills with keen attention to detail.

Salary & Benefits: The salary range for this position is between $225,000 and $315,000, depending on experience and location. Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
