Description
Dirigo Federal Credit Union is a profitable and fast-growing community credit union headquartered in Lewiston, Maine. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teller in our Lewiston Branch. Tellers are the first point-of-contact with our members, and are responsible for assisting with transactions, providing basic account information, and sharing information about our products and services. This is a fast-paced and engaging position, with the opportunity to provide excellent customer service to our member-owners.
Responsibilities include:
· Processing member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; dispensing money orders and teller checks to members; and transferring amounts from member accounts as directed
· Welcoming members and providing routine information concerning services and directing members to appropriate departments for specific information and services as needed
· Verifying and posting transactions to member accounts and maintaining member and Credit Union records
· Balancing cash drawer and daily transactions
· Cross-selling credit union services based on member needs
Knowledge, skills & abilities needed:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Previous customer-service or banking-related experience
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Familiarity with the use of computers and have data-entry skills
· Strong interpersonal skills, and be member-service minded
· Be dependable and punctual
· Methodical attention to detail
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
