Job Overview
The Technical Specialist role at Disability Solutions is a critical position that requires expertise in setting up and operating audiovisual systems for live events. This position reports to a Project Manager, Operations Manager, or Director, Event Technology.
Main Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Ensure a flawless event execution through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of advanced audiovisual equipment.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Quickly identify and resolve technical issues that may arise during the event.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service and strive to exceed internal and external customers' expectations by maintaining positive relationships through effective communication.
- Event Supervision: Perform advanced work with operations team members and supervise other technicians during an event.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree: A degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Certifications: Encore Technical Level 3 Certification is required, along with two Core Certifications (Audio, Lighting, Projection, Video, Scenic).
- Experience: Four years of field experience in a specialty area and three to five years of customer service or hospitality experience are required.
