If you answered yes, we would like to invite you to apply to Discovery Zone Child Development Center. We are currently seeking a full time infant/toddler teacher who wants to be a vital part of creating a fun and safe learning experience for children and be an encouraging voice to families.

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children
  • Support children's growth in cognitive, physical, social/emotional, and spiritual domains
  • Maintaining training and certification requirements
  • Use observations and assessments to create engaging and research-based learning environments
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers

QUALIFICATIONS

Must meet the experience and training qualifications requirements according to Oregon’s Rules for Certified Child Care Centers by having attained ONE of the following:

  • 5 months full-time experience teaching in an infant or toddler classroom OR
  • An Associate Degree in an early childhood-related field OR
  • At least a step 6 in the Oregon Registry Online (ORO) OR
  • CDA credential

Physical Requirements

These physical requirements must be met in order to successfully perform this teaching job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:

  • Walk on a frequent basis.
  • Stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds in case of an emergency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.25 - $19.00 per hour
