About the Role

As an Agent in Training, youll work alongside an experienced Farmers Insurance agent to learn the business from the ground up. With guidance from industry leaders and resources from the University of Farmers, youll gain the skills and confidence to transition into agency ownership.

What Youll Do

Learn the Business : Partner with a seasoned agent to gain expertise in sales, customer service, and agency operations.

Develop Key Skills : Master marketing strategies, client relationship management, and business planning with top-tier training.

Engage Locally : Build relationships with Crookston families and businesses to become a trusted advisor in the community.

Prepare for Ownership : Transition from apprentice to agency owner with mentorship and support from District 54.

An entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to grow professionally.

Sales, customer service, or business experience (preferred but not required).

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to learning.

The ability to obtain necessary insurance licensing (support provided).

Responsibilities

Team Leadership : Guide and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve company targets.

Strategy Development : Formulate and implement effective sales strategies to expand District 54 Insurance's market presence in the Saint Paul area.

Performance Monitoring : Regularly assess sales processes and team performance, providing constructive feedback and training as needed.

Client Relationship Management : Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.

Market Analysis : Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.

Budget Management : Oversee the sales department's budget, optimizing cost-effectiveness and resource allocation.

Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of sales initiatives with company objectives.

Requirements

Experience : Minimum of 5 years in sales with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve targets.

Communication : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Customer Focus : Strong awareness of customer needs and strong commitment to service excellence.

Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze sales data to inform decision-making and set strategic direction.

Problem Solving : Skillful in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.

Availability : Able to work onsite in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Industry Knowledge : Understanding of the local market and current sales trends.
