General Summary
Provide administrative support for the HR Department assisting with the hiring process, new employee onboarding and training and entering employee and applicant data into the HRIS and server systems.
Essential Job Function
- Handles employment application intake and maintains recruiting spreadsheet
- Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance as needed
- Assists employees with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures
- Assists with new employee orientations
- Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions
- Prepares job postings and conducts phone screenings as needed
- Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status
- Assist with benefits administration
- Other duties as apply
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Etc.)
- Operate office equipment such as copier, fax machine, scanner, telephone system, etc.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required, plus one year of office/clerical support experience.
Previous HR experience preferred.
Salary : $37,500 - $47,500
