Job Description
This is an entry-level position requiring a Bachelors or Associates degree in a Technical field (Chemistry, Biology preferred) that exposed the candidate to basic lab skills, mathematics, measurements, etc. Microsoft proficiency is required.
- Analyze data, good communication skills, ability to work with a team, organizational skills, able to multi-task and work in different areas.
- Primary responsibility: equipment scheduling, working with a team of union process technicians in the CSM Ion Exchange (IOX) labs.
- Manage use of chemicals in the labs, participate in qualifying new chemicals, and ensure safety protocol is followed.
The specialist will participate in medium to high-level projects as assigned, while ensuring confidentiality of information. Assist in troubleshooting material, process, and equipment issues, identify root cause, and implement corrective action.
Responsibilities
- Schedule resources, prioritize activities to assure efficient delivery of customer samples, experiments, new product runs, training, and maintenance activities.
- Provide daily direction and communications to union process technicians.
- Track expenses, train team members, develop training documents, etc.
Key responsibilities include meeting project and internal customer demands, supporting development goals, and participating in IOX related activities via the Process Hazard Review Board for Safety Health and Environmental review/approval.
