The Team of Content Studio is Marketing's In-house Social Content team. We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to manage Client's Social Media platforms and help develop organic social content. The Social Media Communications Specialist will work closely with both the Studio Content Manager, Social Media Specialist, as well as other teams within and outside of Client's Marketing to ensure social media content is published and that profiles are properly maintained. The Social Media Communications Specialist will also support Client's Marketing as a stakeholder in all organic social media campaigns.
This position requires a self-motivated, flexible individual with strong communication skills and an enormous passion for social media. The right candidate should also have strong attention to detail and enjoys working on collaborative, cross-functional projects.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads day-to-day management and social publishing of Client's social media profiles on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms
Leads day-to-day management of social projects and campaigns ensuring milestones and deadlines are met within the editorial calendar from intake to final delivery of assets
Develops and maintains Client's social media editorial calendar
Ensures that all final social creative assets and copy are complete, incorporates all business requirements, meets platform specifications, and are error-free
Reviews available social media assets from other teams/markets and identify content to re-purpose for Client's platforms
Works with other internal and external teams to ensure that activities are aligned, providing social POV and best practices
Develops campaign overview decks/ presentations
Presents and shares relevant social media plans and editorial plans with both internal and external teams
Leads process of identifying and securing user generated content and Client owner stories within the social media communities
Reviews content with Client's Legal and Product teams to ensure content is accurate and compliant to business standards
Works with Production teams to develop social media content opportunities within existing productions
Works with Social Media Specialist to review reports and analytics to improve and optimize social media content
Assists with relevant social media analytics and data tracking
Leverage trending topics and culturally relevant conversations regularly to drive audience engagement, build brand perception and keep Volkswagen top of mind
Keeps their finger on the pulse of social, exploring new platforms and content ideas for Client's Social, and develops social best practices
QUALIFICATIONS
Years of Experience:
3 years of relevant experience (Social Media, Brand Marketing)
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Social Media, or related field - required
Skills:
Communication Skills: Strong verbal, writing, and grammatical skills. Be authentically positive, fun, and enthusiastic
Cross collaboration: Comfortable in bringing people, processes or systems together to achieve common goals
Organization: Able to work under tight deadlines, work under own initiative, and multi-task various projects
Resourceful: Able to learn and discover available brand resources and leverage them in everyday work. Strong problem-solving skills
Analytical and conceptual thinking: Ability to align and develop content according to establish Brand and campaign guidelines. Able to analyze and interpret social media metrics and insights to optimize content
Specialized Skills:
Experience developing social media content, calendars, and strategy
Excellent understanding of social publishing and analytics platforms, content performance, audiences, paid tactics and digital trends
Insatiable curiosity and passion in social media and emerging technologies
Ability to create, develop, and present social media plans to teams/groups
Experience developing social creative and graphics a plus
Experience with social media management tools and digital customer engagement platforms
Occasional platform management maybe required during off/weekend hours
Domestic travel may be required - estimated at 10 - 15%
