Summary/Objective
Supports the Dixon Academy Organization with accounting and bookkeeping while demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills. Manages tax reporting, shares responsibility of maintaining the financial health of the organization. Tasked with administrative duties associated with financial management and deadlines. Monitor and records budget allocations, expenditures, and receipts for the organization and shared stake holders and partners. Assist with petty cash distribution and reconciliation along with credit card reconciliation reports. The role as a part time position will share job functions and responsibilities with the Executive Assistant and directly report and receive instruction from the Executive Team.
Essential Functions
1. Manage and maintain accurate financial transactions.
2. Reconcile account and bank transactions.
3. Identify potential financial inconsistencies.
4. Assist with tax returns
5. Assist Directors with managing budget processes and procedures
6. Assist with financial tracking and recording for special event coordination
7. Assist with petty cash and credit card reconciliation
8. Establish, enhance, and complete financial reporting tools used with partners and share stake holders.
9. Manage collections and aged ledger balances.
10. Ensures timely remittance of tax reports and financial data collections.
Required Education and Experience
Minimum associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business with 2 years’ experience
Integrity and Positive Attitude
Multitasking (multiple projects with consistent deadlines for multiple sites)
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook
Exceptional customer service skills over the phone and in person
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven accounting or bookkeeping experience.
Skills: Advanced level experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Good oral and written communication skills; good organizational skills; good collaborative skills, teamwork mindset.
Physical Demands
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Physical, negative TB test, DCDEE and CCRI background check clearance; valid driver’s license and insurance.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
