DLA Piper is seeking a Managing Director to join our telecom group in the Washington, DC office. Candidates must have 10 years of legal/law firm experience including at least 5 years of telecom experience. The Managing Director will be responsible for interacting directly with clients to ensure consistent team performance and discuss billing and collection issues. They will also be responsible for business development support, group administrative management including conflicts, billing, collections, hiring, training, and knowledge content. In addition, the Managing Director will support ongoing matters as necessary as a billable timekeeper. Candidates must have the ability to serve as a strategic advisor and possess strong leadership, communication, problem solving, planning, negotiation and decision making skills. In addition, candidates must possess the ability to present complex information to senior leadership and a proven dedication to assisting the firm in delivering exceptional client service both internally and externally. Candidates are required to have a JD and must be admitted to the Dc Bar. Some travel will be required.
