The DM Estate Staffing Team
Our client in Brooklyn, a passionate, innovative professional, is seeking a dedicated Junior House Manager | Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive support across their personal and professional life. In this role, you will assist with schedule management, travel arrangements, household coordination including vendor management, and personal priorities.
This position requires a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to ensure our client can focus on both family and work responsibilities. Anticipating needs, solving challenges, and implementing effective solutions will be key.
*Note: This role requires 1–2 days per week in-person in Brooklyn, with the remainder remote.*
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive project management support to help the client achieve their professional and personal goals
- Assist in managing the client's calendar and coordinate and schedule appointments, ensuring they are not overbooked in their day
- Implement strategies to optimize the client's work-life balance by taking routine tasks and administrative duties off their plate
- Research and assist in the planning of the client's vacation arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and activities
- Handle all travel booking and logistics for the client, including flights, Amtrak, accommodations, and ground transportation
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, such as:
- Sorting and sending out mail and packages (including returns)
- Scheduling healthcare appointments for the client and their family
- Assisting with philanthropic donation coordination
- Collaborate with the client's broader support team as needed
- Research, vet, and oversee household vendors and service providers
- Create preventative maintenance protocols and schedule vendors for the client's properties in New York City and Upstate New York
- Occasional travel to the client’s home in Upstate New York
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Personal Assistant and/or House Manager (note, a strong administrative skill set is critical to success)

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Adaptable to changing priorities and diverse responsibilities
- Proactive and assertive in advocating for the client's needs
- Reliable and consistent in follow-through
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
- Must be local to the NYC area
- Must have strong employment references and be willing to undergo a comprehensive background check
Compensation and Benefits:
- $100,000-$110,000 per year | depending on experience
- Comprehensive benefits including
- Healthcare plan – 100% client contribution toward medical, dental, and vision premiums
- Paid vacation – 10 days per year
- Paid sick days - 1 hour accrued for every 30 hours worked; up to 56 hours/year
- Paid holidays - 10 days per year
- New Year’s Day, MLK Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Indigenous People’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day
- 401k retirement Plan - eligible after a 3-month waiting period
- Commuting expense reimbursement
Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
