Position Summary
The Human Resource Representative supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. Performs human resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all the following functional areas: employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, and benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the onboarding process including guiding new hires through orientation and training, act as the primary contact, coordinating pre-employment paperwork, processing and reviewing background checks, ensuring compliance with policies, facilitate introductions, creating engaging experiences aligned with company culture, and collaborating with teams to ensure a seamless and effective onboarding process
- Maintain and track I-9 documents, conduct E-Verify process, and manage reverifications
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Maintain employee records in HCM by reviewing and approving personal information change requests, uploading documents to electronic files, updating employee information, and conducting periodic audits
- Conduct employee feedback and retention meetings with new hires to gather insights, address concerns, and support their successful integration into the organization
- Administer company-wide recognition program providing user training, evaluating utilization, updating recognition program offerings, develop communications, and overall system maintenance
- Provide administrative support to the Corporate office by planning and coordinating office lunches, answering phone calls, meeting scheduling and room reservations, general office administration, new hire announcements, and employee questions
- Coordinate with property management for the Corporate office handling parking parses, office access, building maintenance, etc.
- Prepares purchase orders for the Human Resources department and organization including flowers and gifts for qualifying employee events
- Collaborate with the IT help desk to address and resolve HR tickets, routing to the appropriate HR team member to ensure timely support for employees' technical needs
- Assist with the coordination of training including scheduling sessions and maintaining training records
- Facilitate new hire benefit webinars and enrollment, provide guidance on plan options, assist with benefits-related inquiries, ensure timely submission of required documentation, and maintain compliance with company policies and regulations
- Process mid-year benefits changes, including qualifying life events and address updates, ensure proper documentation is received, communicate updates to payroll and vendors, and maintain compliance with benefits policies and regulations
- Support the benefits team with annual open enrollment process, deliver ongoing benefits training, and develop communication plans
- Assist the talent acquisition team with creating job postings, talent sourcing projects, reviewing applications, contacting candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting phone screens and communicating directly with hiring managers
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work on other projects as assigned
- Collaborate with other areas of Human Resources to ensure achievement of department objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent education and work experience may be substituted
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Human Resources or related field
- Previous experience with a HRIS preferred, Workday a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft products
- Strong relationship building and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, prioritization, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of work and work independently or as a member of a team
