The primary focus of this role will be to support the experienced design team in the high-end residential market. Duties will include a strong emphasis on drawing production in SketchUp and/or 2D AutoCad, client proposal and presentation preparation, furniture and finish research, selections, creating schedules, client installations and other related support functions. Our office is located in downtown Ada.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES EXPECTATIONS
- 1 - 5 Years Professional Experience
- Professional undergraduate or associate degree in interior design, or architecture or equivalent
- Proficiency in SketchUp and 2D AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Google Drive
- Create presentation boards, FF&E specifications
- Ability to review and understand construction documents
- Knowledge of product and industry of interior design
- Obtain accurate measurements and notes during site visits.
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes, selections and specifications
- Ability to work efficiently, accurately track billable and non-client billable time.
- Ability to take direction and implement updates on projects working directly with our principal and senior designers on their projects.
- Maintain working with vendors and subcontractors
- Comfortable working under deadlines in a fast paced, busy and creative atmosphere
- Professionalism in ability to receive feedback and implement changes from senior designers and clients.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills are required. Strong organizational skill and ability to multitask in support of multiple projects is essential.
- Work well independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to the team and directly with clients.
Superior SketchUp, AutoCAD and PowerPoint skills are required. Candidates will collaborate with the team and principal in the creation and implementation of interior design. Process highly detailed designs, dimensioned floor plans, lighting plans, FF&E specifications, schedules, project estimates, design time estimates, and will assist in managing aspects of the projects during construction.
The qualified candidate must be enthusiastic, hard-working, well-organized, detail oriented, flexible and highly motivated w/excellent verbal and written communications skills. A positive attitude and willingness to help the team wherever needed is crucial.
