We are seeking a smart, dedicated, trustworthy, service-driven, experienced, and professional Household Manager to support a family based in Fort Myers, FL.
The House Manager’s role involves streamlining, overseeing, and comprehensively managing the operations of a private residence, always maintaining the highest standards. The ideal candidate must remain calm and perform effectively under pressure, with strong organizational skills, proven home management expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate must also be proactive, flexible, and committed to staying in the role long term.
As outlined in the job description, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing daily schedules and ensuring timely task completion.
- Overseeing household budgets and maintaining efficient operations.
- Coordinating vendors, appointments, and events.
- Managing household supplies, troubleshooting technical systems, and assisting with payroll processes.
- Handling errands, mail, and administrative tasks with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Acting as the gatekeeper for all family-related important dates, documents, and calendars.
This role requires flexibility, occasional evening and weekend hours, and on-call availability to address any questions or tasks that may arise outside of standard working hours. While this is not a weekend job, you must be reachable to answer questions or provide assistance as needed. When the family is away, the expectations and on-site requirements for this position will not change.
- This is a full-time, on-site position, with daily hours from 9 AM to 5 PM.
- Occasional evening hours and weekend work are required, with flexibility expected to accommodate family needs as they arise.
- The role requires the candidate to remain reachable by cell phone to answer questions or provide assistance outside of regular working hours, as needed.
- When the family is away, the job’s expectations and on-site requirements do not change.
- Education: College education required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in household management or as a personal assistant.

- Manage holiday decorations, assist with planning events, and book vendors; oversee vendor operations prior to and during events.
- Coordinate appointments, reservations, and travel arrangements.
- Handle administrative tasks such as managing schedules, mail, and email.
- Receive, organize, and manage daily packages.
- Run errands, purchase gifts, and assist with any tasks that arise.
- Assist with packing and unpacking for vacations.
- Use the Intuit payroll system to process payroll as needed.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
