You Will
Work collaboratively in a team environment. Respond to payroll inquiries via inbound phone calls and emails and handle employee escalations. This position will report to the Payroll Manager and will interact on a regular basis with employees of all lines of business, HR, Time and Attendance and external Vendor personnel. Position performs a variety of activities in support of the functional processes, programs and/or services.
- Process weekly payroll for approximately 3,500 employees.
- Process off cycle payrolls as needed
- Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with employees and working to establish a positive rapport with every interaction.
- Resolve any discrepancies surrounding payroll issues.
- Provide guidance to field personnel on payroll related functions.
- Distribute paychecks/W2 as necessary.
- Assist with distribution of mail.
- Maintain detailed, organized payroll records.
- Conduct payroll audit, ensures employees are correctly classified, have correct pay rate.
- Ensure union wage increase rates are processed accurately and timely.
- Assist with month end and year end tasks.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues/concerns.
- Assist with special projects, and other duties as assigned.
- Can meet the attendance standards.

- Associate degree, or three plus years related experience and/or training, or equivalent or education or experience
- One or more years of experience in ADP and Dayforce
- One or more years of Customer Service experience
- A degree or Certified Payroll Professional Certification or FPC or equivalent work experience
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Experience with end-to-end payroll processing requirements is a plus
- Experience with multi-state payroll
- Knowledge of garnishment handling
- Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously
- Knowledge of payroll practices, policies, and procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Team oriented individuals who interact with and supports team members, team building
