Job Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for overseeing all daily warehouse activities, including receiving and storing goods, managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient delivery of goods, utilization of space and equipment, and supervising staff. You will maximize warehouse productivity and be an effective team leader.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Helping warehouse staff and daily activities
- Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
- Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
- Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
- Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
- Coordinating and maintaining fleets and equipment.
- Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.
- Shipping and Receiving
- Inventory Control
- Working with the forklift.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a warehouse supervisor.
- Ability to write and speak English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in the use of computers.
- Fork-lifting certified
- Ability to manage team members effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Deadline-oriented.
