What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Inspector (QC) position at DOBCO INC?
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Architectural Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our team for the new school construction project at the Dover Air Force Base. The Architectural QC Inspector will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality control throughout the construction process, ensuring that the project progresses according to the approved architectural and structural plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily inspections of all architectural aspects of the construction project, ensuring adherence to the approved architectural and structural drawings.
- Complete detailed reports on workmanship, project progress, and compliance with construction standards.
- Supervise and monitor construction work to ensure it aligns with project specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect construction materials and ensure they meet project specifications and industry requirements.
- Coordinate with civil inspectors to ensure proper integration of site amenities, pavement, parking, and underground utilities.
- Review and inspect roofing plans in the field to ensure product approvals, fire ratings, and accuracy of selections.
- Conduct regular quality assurance and quality control checks to maintain consistency and resolve any potential issues.
- Perform field punch inspections and manage punch lists and room status logs to ensure all items are addressed before project completion.
- Review Requests for Information (RFIs) and ensure product data and materials are installed in accordance with job specifications, construction documents, and applicable codes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in architectural inspection or quality control in construction projects.
- Knowledge of construction processes, architectural drawings, and building codes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or non-compliance issues.
- Experience with reviewing and managing RFIs and technical documents.
- Proficiency in CAD software for managing and plotting construction files.
- Ability to collaborate with other inspectors and teams to maintain quality and resolve issues.
- Experience working with the Army Corps of Engineers is a plus.
- Previous experience on military or government projects is a plus.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
