Dog Daycare and Bar Help

Come work at Dogwood, a dog daycare by day and an indoor dog park at night! Applicant must love being around and working with dogs regardless of how messy or stressful it can get at times. Customer service experience working in a fast paced environment and serving or bar experience a plus! Patience, alertness and quick response time are important. Looking for someone with the ability to multi-task and deal with situations quickly and efficiently. Schedule includes two 11hr Day Stay shifts. Weekend availability is a must, but in general you'll have every other weekend off! Weekend shifts (7-10 hrs/day) are at the bar. Expect to work 4 days a week--that means 3 days off! We get very busy when the rain comes and that means good tips on top of your hourly wage. Easily make $25 an hour with tips. Being able to communicate with customers about their dog and dog behavior is essential. Our daycare structure is designed to incorporate activities that engage each dog, including: ball time, walking/running laps and separating the dogs according to their best playmates. We keep our daily numbers small to maintain safety and provide the best possible experience for each dog. The ideal candidate will be someone that is friendly, great with dogs, can stand and move about for long periods of time, understands dog behavior and body language, is self-motivated, a team player, punctual and reliable.

Position requirements:

• 21 years old--We're a bar
• Punctuality and reliability is a must!
• Minimum 1yr previous experience with dogs in a daycare setting (reference required)
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Able to be on your feet for an 8-12 hour shift
• Able to do repetitive actions such as mopping, scrubbing, and bending to pet dogs
• Knowledge of dog breeds and behaviors
• Patience with difficult dogs and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Respect for people and animals
• Able to interact with customers, explain behaviors and reinforce rules verbally and physically in a positive manner
• Team player
• Self-motivated
• Not squeamish about unpleasant dog messes--sh*t happens
• Unconditional love and understanding for each and every dog
• Receive input in a positive and constructive manner
• Exceptional customer service
• Thorough cleaning skills

$19/hr to start tips (Make $25 /hr)
