We are currently seeking an Accountant who will report to the Financial Controller as part of our dynamic team in New York, New York.
ROLE
The Accountant is to assist in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department related to cash transactions ultimately leading to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual cash flow reporting.

ROLE
The Accountant is to assist in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department related to cash transactions ultimately leading to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual cash flow reporting.
MISSION
- Review chargebacks deducted from credit card settlements and notified Loss and Prevention department
- Prepare monthly journal entries for financial statements which includes weekly and bi-weekly payroll, payroll, and bonus accruals.
- Prepare monthly gross sales and calculate percentage rent
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for all accounts
- Perform general ledger analysis for assigned accounts (i.e Accounts Receivable for Cash and Credit Card Receivables)
- Reconciliation of monthly and quarterly payroll (ADP vs AX)
- Download reports from Concur and book T&E reports on a bi-weekly basis
- Rebill intercompany charges to DG SRL & DG Beauty relating to PR, Celebrities and ECA
- Assist in the preparation of year-end work papers, journal entries, and provide support to auditors during the year-end audit.
- Prepares monthly cash flow reports and submits them to Donna Berenson, Director of Control and Planning
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business or related discipline
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables & v-look ups)
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles in the United States
- Experience with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics
- Hands-on experience working with general ledgers
- Experience with a digital payment system such as Piteco or any UPI system
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills

Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
