Under Supervision, the human resource assistant performs work of moderate difficulty in human resources and related areas to include but not limited to scheduling and employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and process of personnel records and reports.
• Interacts with and supplies information to job applicants, employees, plant department heads, and public and private customers.
• The HR Assistant will support internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department
• Maintains high standards for confidentiality of all employee records and information.
• Assist with employee training, onboarding, and recruiting.
• Transport candidates and employees by golf cart when needed.
• May be required to enter data and maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
• Alphabetic and numerical filing and file creation to include review and completion of new hire files.
• Other duties as assigned that are reasonable associated with the above duties.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English & Spanish (read & write). Punjabi is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to effectively present facts and recommendations in oral and written form.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
• Operation, training of company golf carts best practices.

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related areas preferred
• At least 1 - 2 years of work experience in a clerical support position
• Any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates ability to perform the duties of the position.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and utilize a variety of office equipment. Ability to lift a minimum of 15 lbs. and reach overhead.
• Must be able to climb stairs
• Requires climbing, standing, stooping, twisting, lifting and other physical movements to perform job.
• Industrial plant and related noise and temperatures

Hiring Pay Scale: $25.00
