The Water Park Maintenance Technician II position is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance as required to support both Facilities and Attractions operations at Dollywood Parks & Resorts. This role also exists to perform the installation, maintenance, and/or repair a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment. All of this will be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, perform installation, problem solve all electrical components and systems that comply with the National Electric Code & Southern Building Code, OSHA requirements
- Reading, writing, and math skills necessary to calculate electrical loads and consumptions
- Maintain the aesthetic features of the facility
- Maintain an effective working relationship with other company personnel
- Maintain accurate record of periodic water sample/testing results
- Make scheduled inspections to ensure early detection of problems
- Provide scheduled preventive maintenance and make necessary repairs on pumps, filtration systems and facility equipment
- Wear and maintain themed uniform issued by Dollywood Parks & Resorts
- Assist other maintenance staff in maintaining a clean work environment
- Assist in the install of new plumbing systems or repair and maintain existing systems, such as water, heat, drainage, sewage, filtration systems and service lines and other plumbing systems
- Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance for individual or groups of attractions and other equipment typically utilized in theme park or water park operations including but not limited to: troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems, water quality systems, animation, and special effects
- Conduct regular inspections that include testing, verification and/or calibration of applicable attractions and facilities systems
- Troubleshoot by referring to technical manuals and technical library while utilizing a systematic approach
- Perform start-up and shut-down procedures for all attractions and respond to and resolve associated downtime and ride recovery issues throughout the operating day
- Operate and adjust UV systems, chlorinators, acid pumps, or pool chemical controllers to maintain prescribed water quality standards
- Document inspections, repairs or work order requests and audit water quality journals in the Maintenance Workflow system
- Effectively communicate status of the facility to the maintenance supervisor or manager
- If properly trained/qualified, perform tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment
- Follow All Host Safety Standards and General Safety Training guidelines and use associated injury prevention measures
- Suspend operations when continuation would be inconsistent with Safety Standards or Procedures or presents a safety hazard to Guests or Hosts

Education and Experience Required
- Must be 18 years old or older
- High school degree or GED is required
- Maintenance experience in the theme park industry or related field is preferred but not required
- Has work experience which demonstrates the successful execution of similar duties and responsibilities in a commercial / industrial environment
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Able to operate different types of vehicles (car, truck, van, golf cart)
- Working knowledge of the proper utilization and care of hand and power tools and maintenance equipment
- Must be knowledgeable of drain cleaning equipment
- Able to organize and maintain files for accessibility and retention
- Must successfully complete a post-employment offer background check and drug screen and motor vehicle background check
- Must have or be able to acquire an AFO/CPO certification within 1 year of employment

- Tasks involve the regular and at times sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work. This typically involves some combination of balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Tasks may also involve the lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (up to 50 pounds) and occasionally heavier weight (up to 100 pounds)
- Ability to tolerate a year-round outdoor environment, with temperatures from 0 to 120 degrees
- Must possess the mental and physical capabilities necessary to perform the primary job duties, including climbing and working at heights up to and in excess of 150ft., crawling, and working in confined spaces
- While performing the duties of this job, the individual may be regularly expected to work near moving mechanical parts. Risk of electrical shock; and/or vibration
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools such as electric drill, drill press, side grinder, porta-band, reciprocating saw, electric hoist, chain saw, band saw, jig saw, torque wrench, and impact wrench
