An Overview of the Role:
The Direct To Consumer Outbound Sales Representative provides impeccable service to existing and prospective customers through routine contact, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring continued sales growth. This position is responsible for contacting current customers and following up on qualified prospects from the Company's database, as well as meeting or exceeding forecasted revenue objectives for outbound sales.
The Pay
While this position's base pay is minimal, the incentive plan is not. This role is eligible for commission on individual sales and bonuses for club sign ups, upgrades, and group sales that are paid out on bi-weekly or quarterly basis.
The “Nitty Gritty” of the Role:
- Conducts courtesy check ins with existing and potential customers in an effort to generate sales by promoting current sales specials and new and upcoming releases.
- Delivers exceptional customer service and maintains amiable rapport through effective, relatable, and professional communication via phone, email, and chat, quickly resolving customer issues as they arise.
- Responsible for achieving or exceeding daily and/or monthly call and sales goals.
- Conducts routine outreach to new and existing members to update their personal information, credit card information, make a welcome or retention call, or for other necessary account maintenance.
- Responsible for recording customer orders accurately and detailing call notes into the Company's order entry/database system.
- Tracks order status from conception to shipment, ensuring that orders are processed timely and within expectations of customer; contacts customers with updates on any issues or delays with their orders.
- Works collaboratively with other departments to manage and retain successful relationships with customers, meeting the customer's product needs without competitive conflict.
What we are looking for in a Qualified Candidate:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a customer service or sales environment
- Customer service training, whether formal or informal, sufficient to be able to resolve difficult situations with ease and to cross-sell or up-sell effectively is desired
- Prior call center customer service experience, with the ability to multitask between different methods of communication with the customer (i.e.: telephone, email) is desired
- Ability to process high volume of data entry with efficiency and accuracy
- Intermediate math skills, sufficient to add, subtract, multiply and divide, to calculate percentages and demonstrate reasoning skills
- Intermediate skill level in the use of a PC in a networked environment to include in MS Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; bilingual: fluency in Spanish and English is desired
- Strong interpersonal skills, builds rapport and inspires trust with ability to close sales, to upsell and cross-sell
- Strong ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations, applying courtesy and sensitivity as necessary
- Ability to prioritize and problem solve effectively given a high-volume workload
- Ability to apply membership and product knowledge accurately and present a professional image whenever representing employer
- Wine club or related winery experience is preferred
- Knowledge of the local area, ability to assist members visiting from other areas is preferred
