Position Overview:

This position will act as the ‘super user’ and knowledge reporting expert for the finance function of

Dometic Americas. To have a deep knowledge of the various data sources we use and how best to use them. To maintain and produce a standard set of monthly reports on a timely basis, and to pro- actively propose and produce new value adding reports. To be the financial business partner for all cost center owners within SG&A. This means understanding month end variances, producing monthly cost center reports with commentary, and making corrections in underlying ERP systems as needed. This position reports to Director FP&A - Americas.

Duties:

  • Understands the source data available from various systems, how various systems reconcile to each other, and therefore what data to use and how to use it in each report
  • Understands the business, how transactions are recorded, and how data should be presented such that it gives an accurate reflection of performance
  • Produces high quality reports with consistent appearance/formatting. This includes creating and maintain a report format/style guide.
  • Works with various stakeholders (in finance and across the business) to understand new reporting needs, prioritize the reports appropriately and deliver new reports
  • Proactively proposes new reports and enhancements to existing reports, including making them more efficient to produce
  • Be a local BI expert
  • Coordinates with Group/local IT on any additional systems, tools or enhancements needed to deliver reports
  • Ensures reports produced are timely, accurate, and error free
  • Ensures all reports are documented (data sources, how they are produced, naming convention, version control (and what changed) etc)
  • Reviews monthly SG&A reports, understands key variances, corrects miss-postings, and makes accruals as necessary to accurately reflect monthly activity
  • Leads the month end review for SG&A explaining all key variances
  • Produces month end cost center reports including commentary on variances
  • Prepares detailed, logical forecasts and budgets for SG&A cost centers with input from cost center owners. These should serve as a good record of the thinking behind the numbers and should be built using consistent, user friendly templates.
  • Performs ad-hoc analysis as required

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in accounting/finance or related field required.
  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of experience in a finance role with a focus on reporting, cost center responsibility and variance analysis.
  • Strong systems knowledge required: o Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills o Intermediate Power BI user o HFM or AARO (or similar financial database tool) o QlikView and ThinkCell experience preferred
  • Ability to present complex data in user friendly, visually engaging formats
  • Good communicator (through reporting and verbally)

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
