Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to provide support to more than 300 employees with a variety of Human Resources tasks, both administratively and operationally. This role is ideal for a candidate looking to gain hands-on HR experience in a dynamic work environment.
Your challenges:
- Support onboarding processes in coordination with talent acquisition and HR business partners, including, but not limited to pre-employment administration; preparing new hire documents; scheduling and delivering orientation; managing employee referral payments; and inputting new hire into HRIS.
- Coordinate and process upcoming separations with employee, manager, and HR business partner.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Provide support to all employees for Benefits and Leave of Absence management.
- Administer leave of absence programs and provide guidance to employees and management on leave requirements, approvals, and status of return-to-work.
- Maintain and update employee records, both hard-copy and electronic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team (invoicing; document preparation; employee/manager communications, HR reporting, etc.).
- Coordinate and administer activities to provide a positive work environment including social committee events, community involvement, Fort Mill Newsletter, and service awards.
- Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration as needed.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Support ad hoc HR requests from the Human Resources Manager.
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in HR or administrative support (internship experience a plus).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS software (an asset).
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficient written and verbal communication, along with a proven ability to build relationships.
- Organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter with a versatile ability to find collaborative solutions.
- Strong team player who embraces change and is committed to continuous improvement.
