Doodles Academy is a national arts non-profit dedicated to ensuring all kids, regardless of their background, have access to high-quality arts curricula. We do this by providing a powerful art curriculum, either at low cost or for free, to schools and communities that may otherwise not be able to afford it. We also design our lessons for educators of all backgrounds, even those who are not formally trained art teachers.
Our 'home-base' is in Ann Arbor, where we develop and test curricula in workshops and classes.

We are seeking a passionate and creative Assistant Teacher to support our Art Camp for a few days. The ideal candidate will assist the lead instructor in managing daily activities, guiding students through various art projects, and ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment. Responsibilities include helping set up and clean up materials, offering individualized support to students, and encouraging creative exploration. The Assistant Teacher will also help maintain a safe and organized space, foster a collaborative atmosphere, and assist with the supervision of students during camp activities.
For this camp, we are specifically looking for one last applicant who can work in Ann Arbor on March 25th - 26th at 9am - 12pm and March 28th 9am -12pm .
Teaching assistants who perform well will have the potential to work in our after school programming, summer camp, and future events. We pride ourselves on being an extremely supportive organization, and will offer training and mentorship to support you in growing as a teacher. Thus, we would like candidates who want to learn from this opportunity, and grow their skills as a teacher.
*Requirements: *All adults would need to have a background check run with the AAPS, and have an up to date CPR/First Aid certificate. They are hired by Doodles Academy as a contract employee. If you have fingerprints on file with AAPS please let us know in your application.
