Multi-Family Estimator - Door & Trim

Job Summary

This estimating role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of bids for door and trim projects. It requires extensive experience in the residential (single-family and multi-family) and commercial sectors. Based in Phoenix initially, this position offers flexibility in the future to be based in either Las Vegas or Phoenix. As the team evolves into a centralized estimating function supporting multiple divisions, candidates who demonstrate strong leadership will have the chance to take on greater responsibilities and contribute to the company’s strategic growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for projects involving door and trim installations, utilizing advanced estimating techniques and software
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope of work documents to generate precise estimates for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects
• Work closely with the General Manager, office staff, and other stakeholders to align estimates with project goals
• Conduct risk analysis for estimates to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and areas of concern
• Develop strategies for improving the accuracy and efficiency of the estimating process
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends, local market conditions, and pricing data to inform accurate and competitive bids
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring estimates align with project goals and timelines
• Ensure estimates meet company targets for profitability and are delivered within established deadlines

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 5-7 years of estimating experience in door and trim installations
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam, Stack, etc.) and advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, and complex formulas
• Experience estimating for residential (single-family and multi-family) and commercial projects is required
• Previous leadership experience preferred
• Willingness to travel occasionally between Phoenix and Las Vegas if needed
