Dorsey has an opening for an IT Assistant in Elba, Alabama.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Dorsey IT Assistant will assist in establishing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing desktop computers, laptops, and networks.
- Provide first-level support to users, addressing hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Document technical issues and resolutions for future reference.
- Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software.
- Assist monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Set up accounts and user profiles during onboarding and assist with termination procedures.
- Assist with IT projects and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licenses, and technical procedures.
- Create and maintain documentation of technical processes.
- Assist with projects and tasks from other departments as directed by the IT Director.
- Follow up with users to ensure their technical issues have been resolved.
Experience and Skills Needed
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or associate’s degree with compensating experience.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a comparable IT role.
- Knowledge of basic hardware and software principles, including cyber security and networking.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Continuous learning and staying up to date with IT technologies and best practices.
- Any certifications that are applicable to this position will be taken into consideration.
