Quarry Ridge Winery is expanding and seeking candidates who would like to build a career with our family-owned company as our Tasting Room Manager! Our Tasting Room Manager position is an integral part of our operation. The Tasting Room Manager will handle all aspects of the Quarry Ridge Winery customer experience. In addition to our fine wine, it is our customer experience that sets our business apart from the rest!

Job Description:

TASTING ROOM RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule and staff for tasting room hours
• Working closely with in-house winemaker
• Yearly training
• Open and close daily
• Stocking wine, glassware, tables, bar, cleanup, etc.
• Schedule group tasting reservations
• Maintain beer supply/ordering
• Order charcuterie board weekly
• Manage Supplies: Soda, water, cleaning supplies, cheese, etc..
• Serve when busy

Wine Club Responsibilities:

• Manage WineDirect Software and POS System
• Setup and run quarterly wine club package and email
• Email communications to members
• Pack wine pickups/shipments and setup for event
• Food, music, venue setup
• Handle new signups/cancellations

Miscellaneous:

• Events development and oversight: staff, catering, hours, pricing, music, foot trucks
• Marketing, inclusive of IG and Facebook
• Tasting menus, wine lists, rack cards, business cards
• Merchandise
• Wholesale: accounts, sales, deliveries, orders, tastings
• Rental oversight

Business Operations Side:

• Tips and cash drawer
• Weekly sales reports
• Payroll timesheets
• Hiring/Interviewing for tasting room

Type: Full-time, year-round

Pay : Based upon experience

Location: Union Springs, NY

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must have a current driver’s license

Applicants with previous tasting room experience will be considered first.
