Seeking a Network Operations Center Technician (NOC Technician) for an opportunity in Clemson, SC. This is a night shift position.
Work arrangement:
- Fully onsite.
- W2 position; 12 months, with possibility for extension
- Hours: 6 PM – 6 AM (includes weekends and holidays); 42 hrs./week
Position description:
- The NOC Technician monitors, tests, maintains and repairs network and infrastructure elements for the client’s Computing and Information Technology center.
- Monitors network, server, and application elements, resolves incidents and service requests and/or consults with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution. Applies state-of-the-art technology to meet and improve the network control center.
- Control network and system processing. Responds to customer inquiries and alerts via emails, incoming calls, and walk-ins. Conducts routine inspections on equipment and reports any abnormalities. Other operational duties as assigned such as meetings, project work, administration and facilities requirements.
- Configure network and system resources, and maintain corresponding system records and documentation. Provides Tier II support as per SME agreements. Performs periodic maintenance and monitoring of computer systems. Performs pre-configured port activations on network switches. Assist with implementing network automation tools.
- Prepares and reviews documentation for use in operations for training and knowledge base. Participates in training and cross training for the Tier II. Provides customer service for all information and/or telecommunication network systems support areas.

- Python scripting
- Routing protocols (i.e., BGP, OSPF)
- Palo Alto firewall configuration
- Cisco wireless troubleshooting
- Cisco Meraki configuration
- DNS configuration
- IP network troubleshooting
- Linux server batch scripting
- Technical writing experience
