Competencies:
• CPA is a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
• 5 years of experience in related roles (Finance, Accounting, Business Analysis, etc.)
• Experience in Payroll & Accounts Payable management preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and the accounting cycle
• Proficiency in Accounting/ERP software (Sage/Timberline) and back-end technical understanding
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, knowledge and experience with data analytics tools
• Strong work ethic and integrity, resourceful and responsible
• Proactive and investigative personality who can dig into the details
• Construction and fabrication shop experience a plus
Job Specifics/Tasks:
• Cash management & planning
• General ledger, journal entries and account reconciliations
• Job billings
• Quarterly closings
• Job projections and job cost reporting
• Company income and cash flow projections, variance, and margin analysis by department
• Building out and maintaining new models for revenue, expenses, and other projections
• Review accounting processes and internal controls to ensure audit integrity
• Streamline and improve current processes
• HR-related compliance
• Annual audits and Special audits
• Any other related tasks that may be required
