As the Recreation Manager, you will oversee and constantly seek to improve the running of a variety of outlets and communicate with staff to ensure they have the tools they need to provide the best service to our guests.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for the information in each recreation job descriptions when working in that facility.
Interview, hire, train, discipline, and review job performance of all recreation staff.
Assist staff and guests when problems arise.
Ensure the staff has all the tools and supplies to complete their job successfully.
Possess strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with the guest and staff while maintaining a safe and professional environment.
Oversee staff in day to day operations.
Responsible for all inventories and purchase orders within the department.
Maintain a safe work environment by promoting safe work practices and document any unsafe areas or practices with written documentation and work orders when needed.
Personal Skills
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
Management experience and an understanding of recreational activities is required
Possess strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with the guests, other staff members and on the phone.
Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures.
Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.
Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
Conducts him\herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times
Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally.

Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis.
Some knowledge of the lake area, and/ or operating watercraft is required.
Physical Requirements
Must be a strong swimmer
Minimum pulling and lifting of 20 pounds.
Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
Hearing, writing. speaking
Standing for long periods of time.
